MARBLE
The word “marble” derives from Greek "marmaron" which means rock crystal, shining stone. Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of calcite or dolomite. It is characterized by a wide variety of colors. Known from the Greek statues and Roman baths, for centuries marble is preferred material of sculptures, architects and designers for its quality- strength, resistance to heat, humidity and pressure, it keeps dust and mold. The marble has become a cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste.
